- Egnatia is a DWG engine in active development. Availability, supported DWG versions and specific capabilities have not been announced.
Egnatia is the DWG engine we are developing at Cadmus. The work starts with a format at the heart of many architecture, engineering and construction workflows, and the software foundation needed to work with it.
This is engine work: the underlying system comes before the product built around it. We are concentrating on a dependable foundation for working with DWG, with correctness and clarity guiding the engineering decisions.
A drawing carries more than what appears on screen. The direction of the work is to treat that underlying structure carefully, and to make the boundaries of the engine understandable to the people building on it.
Our standard is straightforward: describe the work at the stage it has reached. Egnatia is in active development. This note introduces its direction; it does not announce a release or promise a supported feature set.
We will share more as the engine takes shape and there is concrete work to demonstrate.
